The USEPA method 611 is an analytical method which utilizes a methylene chloride extraction of municipal or industrial wastewater, concentrated after clean-up to 10-mL (in Hexane) and a gas chromatograph equipped with a packed column to perform theseparation of Haloethers. To detect the GC eluant, a halide specific (Hall) or an electron capture detector (ECD) is used.
